  • Góður! Well done mate.

  • There are to ways to eat fermented shark.

    1. Take a bite then drink a shot of Brennivín

    2. Put it in your mouth, take a few bites (like 3) then swallow it. (As long as you eat it fast you will only get the good taste.)

  • To feast on a rotten shark,

you need 1 piece of shark and 1 shot of Icelandic fire water or "Brennivín"!

You eat a piece of shark and you drink the shot right after!

Its a tasty way to get you completely smashed before the rest of the gnarly foods are served and so you will not taste anything and can eat as you wish!

  • @MissSelmaSongs Lol, horrible*

  • This is HORRIVBLE XD I tried it in Iceland, and omfg, I nearly vomited!

  • after i have got past the 1st one, i got quite addicted to it

  • the taste isnt bad infact it doesnt taste like much...the smell however is something you need to cope with.

  • I JUST CANT BELIVE IT !! LOL!!

  • Rotten shark is an acuired taste... unless you try it very young. My doughter liked it immediately at age 6 when tasting it for the first time at an Icelandic fish market. For others I reccommend to have "Brennivin" schnapps at hand to neutralize the taste.
