And also a lot of murders go unreported..the city is just too big. With that said, not to take anything away from Boston as there are gangstas everywhere but I've been to Boston many times and I hated it there. Mad segregated, too many college kids, no clubs and everything closes mad early. Also the drug game in Boston is wack. $80 for a gram of garbage lol??? I used to hop on the greyhound from NY and make a killing off you ppl with the straight raw!

NYC has a smaller crime rate lately because we have one the biggest and most effective police forces in the nation. You can thank Guiliani for that. Before him, mayors like Koch were retards and should be held partly responsible for the extreme violence in New York. With that said, New York is still very dangerous in a lot of parts of BK and Queens and almost all the Bronx.

bostons crime rate is at 9.92/1000 and ny is at 5.52/1000

that said cities like baltimore, st louis, detroit are all over 15. So boston and ny are in much better situations than most cities especially other eastern cities such as philly pittsburgh baltimore dc and all of ohio, michigan. Boston is less safe than ny though
