In your particular case, the issue is repeating the same sounds as the native speaker. Some have no problem with this, others much. It has to do with "having an ear" for it. Each language exercises different muscles of the mouth. Moreover, the 2 sounds that are the big challenge for Americans are "u" and "r". The nasal sounds are also a challenge for most Americans (an, en, am, em, ant ....) Listen to French people and imitate them. Don't be afraid to play with the sounds. Bonne chance!

Hm, well, interesting indeed! I would recommend a private tutor, as the best option. A good private tutor can get you to speak the language within a 6-month to 1-year period using an immersion method of teaching. When I say immersion, I am speaking of exposing yourself to French as much as possible. For example, I have a student who take 12 lessons per month. I leave him French messages by phone. I give him reading, board work, games in French, conversation, and much more ...

Ce n'est pas plus compliqué pour un anglophone d'apprendre le français que pour un Français d'apprendre l'anglais. Cette vidéo comme beaucoup d'autres sur youtube, prouve simplement que les anglophones sont de manière générale très mauvais en langues étrangères. Comme l'anglais est une langue internationale ils ont souvent tendance à s'en contenter et par conséquent, à ne pas s'ouvrir et s’intéresser aux autres langues dont certaines sont encore plus belles et plus riches.

Excusez-moi mais c'est trop marrant! Même "s'il vous plaît" elle n'arrive pas à le dire! Néanmoins, il faut avouer qu'on a de la chance nous qui savons parler français. Courage à tous ceux qui apprennent le français, ça vaut la peine!^^
