EDDY GRANT 'War Party' - This is a rare clip of Eddy's 1983 hit 'WAR PARTY' shown on a German TV Pop show at the time ... it's not the complete original video clip but this is just how it was broadcast at the time before the next video clip started.

Eddy Grant is truly a wonderful performer. Even at 61 years old, he performs his heart out. I hope they get the visa issues settled, get some us dates set. I'll go see him, dont care if i have to get a hotel or sleep in my suv.

It stands for Respondez Sil Vous Plait (excuse my French spelling!) and literally translates as Respond If You Will. Basically, he's saying "Don't send me an invitation to a war party if you won't let me say no!"

it means please respond. people ask for rsvp when they invite you to a party (marriage, birthday etc). they want to know if you could attend or not.

Eddy Grant is one of my favorite artists. I consider him more of a rock artist then just raggae. He has done so many great songs.
