Cousins James Ransom and Cherie Johnson recall their fearsome Sunday school teacher, Miss Lizzie Devine, the only woman who had more power than their grandmother. Set in the small Florida town of the cousins' memories, this animation resounds with the joy of sharing stories with family.

  • it bothers me that ppl are calling miss devine a "bitch", because that was not the purpose of this story at all. they even said she wasnt mean, just stern. and they admit that they were thankful for their childhood, even with her in it. using such ignorant words on a beautiful story is really pathetic...

  • Finally! One that made me smile instead of weep mercilessly!

  • This was just a cute and funny little video. I love when people forget there is a mic and they just get into their story. Beautiful.

  • @rosen00000 You clearly have no sense of humor XD

  • The woman sounds like Wanda Sykes to me. X)

  • Cute and funny.

  • my dad had a teacher like that it was just diffrent time

  • least favourite story so far

  • I love people like this. It's nice to be in the control of someone who'll let you slack off and do what you want, but it's people like this that you know will really teach you something.

  • I love this story. So much laughter. Makes me think: In several years, I'll look back on life and laugh, too.
