Hmmm you are suppose to add the salt to the flour because the salt can kill the yeast and/or slow down the rising process! Don't add salt directly to the sugar water yeast mixture....add it to the dry flour mixture

NO SUGAR!! The French don't add sugar to their food, it's just one of our nasty American habits. Just give it time to rise without the sugar, this isn't fast food!

@capnbly7 Yeah, it's only 1 tbsp of yeast.. anymore than that would make the dough taste like crap...unless you like a yeasty bread...

thanks for the video! i've been nervously wanting to try to make my own bread. that way, i can make it more often! (and with us trying to make ends meet, $1.50/bread IS too expensive! besides, i like KNOWING what went into the recipe!)
You said "put 2 tablespoons of yeast in" but you only put one in...?
