F4J Storm Ministers House

Campaigners from Fathers 4 Justice dressed as comic book heroes are believed to have occupied bedrooms and the roof of a house belonging to Harriet Harman, Deputy leader of the Labour Party in Herne Hell, South London. The protest started at 8.30am this morning.

Activists Mark Harris and Jolly Stanesby from Plymouth, Devon who are dressed as 'Captain Conception' and 'Cash Gordon' took part in what Fathers 4 Justice described as an early 'Fathers Day strike' against the government who it accuses of waging an unprecedented war against fathers and fatherhood.

A further two unnamed activists are said to be in the property and have unfurled a giant banner from a bedroom window that reads 'A Father is for life, not just conception.'

The campaigners say they will remain in and on the property until the Minister reads Mark Harris' book, 'Family Court Hell'.

Police have since arrived on the scene.

Said F4J Founder Matt O'Connor this morning, "Harriett Harman and the government have refused all dialogue with F4J for the past two years. We are now resuming a full-scale campaign of direct action against the government, it's ministers and the Judiciary. F4J is now the last line in the defence of fatherhood."

They are fathers who shake there reasonabilitys as some mothers do to, fathers4justice was never set up for these people, it is for the dads who just want to be dads to their children.

Your right children need to be protected, a child with 2 parents has twice the support group and is less likely to be abused by either parent, abusers tend to isolate their victims, F4J has always been against isolating children.

Hi Potter, Thanks for your opinion, unfortunately youre not alone with this opinion. Yes only 1% is denied contact BUT the contact given may be a photograph each year and a phone call on your child's birthday. Contact may also be 2 hrs a month in a supervised contact center and for no good reason! (would you accept that if it was ur child?) The 1% is a good sound bite for the courts but in reality many more parents are denied meaningful contact.

What's the betting all 12 are deadbeat dads who never pay a penny for their kids and expect the women to do it all. Only a tiny percentage - less than 1% - of parents are denied contact. They usually have serious mental health issues. Ask yourself marctufano523 WHY the courts have to act as they do? Maybe they want to protect the children from these batman costume wearing loonies.

There are 12 fathers in my street who have all lost their children. The local MP in Ilford South does nothing to help them.

Taking children from fathers causes the children very serious long term mental torment however this fact is lost in the argument that this trading of children is a multi billion pound industry right across the board, from the media to the prison cells were these protesters end up, to the prisons these children will end up in.

These are real superheroes. JUSTICE!

This is a message to the Government and judiciary.

1. HAVE AN AUTOMATIC PRESUMPTION OF 50/50 CONTACT WHEN PARENTS SPLIT

2.OPEN COURTS, to be brought in line with the crown and magistrates courts.

3.COMPULSORY MEDIATION BEFORE THE COURT PROCESS

4.ENFORCE COURT ORDERS. A 3 strikes and your're out policy would be a great detterent against uncooperative mothers. On the 3 rd strike , residence would be swopped to the father or whoever has deliberately broken the court order.

Discrimination on the grounds of gender is an abuse of our human rights. It's not just fathers who suffer, the kids do too. Not forgetting grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins etc.

It's high time the government had the guts to risk offending a few spiteful "feminists" for the good of the rest of us. Especially the children.

Equality is all we want. This affects all of us!
