TRAVEL FOR AMAZONIA

The City of Laranjal do Jari was created on December 17, 1987, with its origins linked to episodes in the history of colonization of the Jari River and, more recently, the socioeconomic influences arising from the deployment and operation of Jari Forestry Project. Because of this, the council still coexists with situations that are considered contradictory, is now faced with the search for new identity productive, sometimes with solutions to problems stigmatized, translated by the precarious living conditions of palafitas.
Major tourist attractions
Festival of brown-of-brazil, 06 to April 07 - an event that already is one of events of great significance for the city, because it succeeded in drawing attention to the issue of extractive brown-of-brazil, due to the successes made from the changes promoted in the marketing of natural product.
Cachoeira de Santo Antonio - the waterfall, 28 meters high is constituted by a natural monuments of the Amazon and, finally, the state of Amapa.
Part of the Extractive Reserve Rio Cajari - coupled with the opportunity to meet representative samples of different natural environments in the region, the RESEX also allows knowledge of the strategies of life of a population focused on sustainable use of natural resources.
Area indigenous Waiãpi - part of that area belonging to indigenous council that is difficult to access. However, one should stress its importance for the maintenance and survival of indigenous population.
