Upon hearing the shocking and sad news of his passing, I contacted David Ilan immediately and asked if he would be interested in creating a work of art for Michaels fans, where everyone could get a dot in the portrait in their name and attach a personal message. It would be a way for people to be part of his life's story and play an important role in the making of a most unique work of art that pays tribute to a true legend. It would give fans something positive to do at this time, and transform millions of people from spectators to participants.

David explained that he, too, is a big fan of Michael's music, but he was worried that many people will not be willing to overlook some of the controversy surrounding Michaels life. He said he would need at least a million people to sign up for dots in order to complete the drawing.

I made a deal with David: If I can get A QUARTER OF A MILLION FANS to show their support for an interactive dot drawing of Michael Jackson, he will draw it! I am putting the word out. The first 250,000 people to respond will convince David that millions of other fans will follow.

To help me reach the goal of 250,000 fans, please vote "YES" above and TELL YOUR FRIENDS! I set up a place in "Step 2" where you can tell me your e-mail if you want to be among the first fans to have a dot in the portrait placed in your name. If you are among the first 250,000, David will place your dot in Michaels face. If were successful here, the final portrait will have millions of fans getting dots, but I will send out an e-mail to my list before the general public is notified. Please help me spread the word about my effort to get a portrait made. This is an extremely cool way of getting Michael's fans together to become part of his legacy.
