Another great post from Beggarsgame. I also like your comments on the song Alan. "Love we shared waits for us there...where our wishes forever reside", that line and the harmonies always got me. Boy, I wish we could somehow visit that parallel universe for a few days and be a kid again! Oh well, here's to Dan and the friends we shared. Thanks D. Hugs to all.

I am listening now to this song and I am in tears.

I am reminded that of these feelings that tell me that I have lost a friend... one who, through his writings, showed he knew me at my very core.

His poetry fills me with nostalgia, for not only the loss of him and his gifts, but also of things, times, places and people which have also gone from me and which will only return to me in the muted shadows of memory.

I miss you all.

beautiful! Dan passing cut a whole in my heart that will never be repaired. So many of you true fans you know how his lyrics and dramatic music compositions struck us all like no other artists could. I listened to his Netherlands CD today five times as it is one of my favorite of his work. Sadly Dan never received the recognition he deserved as a stellar singer/song writer. In my opinion Dan was the very best with his mastering ways of blending deep thoughtful lyrics with his beautiful music.

Coming back to re-listen. This song is so simple and yet so mysteriously takes us by the hand and leads us back to places in the heart that are sometimes too tender to live with day to day and not go insane from the sorrow.

When I listen, so much is remembered and so much tenderness fills my heart again.
