  • Just watched the video, put together from 1977 footage.

  • BBC2 Documentary, screened nationally in 1980, I think, called The Roadracers. Must have been shot around 1978 or earlier as it features Frank Kennedy and Mervyn Robinson, both victims of the NW200 in 1979 and 1980 respectively. Claims to show Joey Dunlop going to his 1st TT which was 1976 and returning a hero, but his 1st win was in 1977 (?).

Not aware of it on dvd, I have the full prog. transferred from vhs to dvd, about 1.7gb. Not sure of practicality or legality of posting on YouTube.

  • Amazing video for all those who love the true spirit of racing.

Where can I find the whole video? is on DVD? Which is the name of this masterpiece?

PS Sorry for my bad english!!

  • Superb footage, thanks for posting. This brings back so many memories. BBC2 showed this years ago. I remember the opening shot of the bikes being 'tested' down the road.

  • not only a legend on the track,a truly decent man, very quiet loyal family man with racing in his blood, huge respect to the whole dunlop family, never will we see such a man again.

  • Great footage, thanks for sharing...

  • What a treat to see these videos.I freakin' love YouTube.Probably never would have seen them without it unless I'm lucky enough to make it over to The Emerald Isle someday to visit Balleymoney and pay homage to Yer Maun and the lads of the Armada. Many thanks.
