1986 Buick Century with 2.8L 60°V6 engine. Early testing of turbo intercooled speed-density engine management system. Had boost set to 8 PSI. Boost now at 13 PSI through tuning of engine.

Video taken November of 2007.

Hint- the speedometer is in MPH (not kilometers) and reads to 120 MPH at the peg. The Check Engine light is on because I have a Wideband AFR meter installed in the exhaust in place of the oxygen sensor (for testing).

NOTE WELL that any resemblance to an actual public roadway is pure co-incidence. This demonstration is an electronic simulation of a car being tested. No actual traffic laws were broken and this video may NOT be used to incriminate the owner of the car.

  • I love how the check engine light turns on at :24

  • @backyardkustomz69

Yes this is because I have the wideband sensor (for datalogger) in the car's only oxygen sensor port. The ECM has a code for missing the o2 sensor.

  • P.S. by saying it cannot be used to incriminate you doesn't actually do ANYTHING at all. I love internet lawyers.

In anyevent. Props for such a unique project man! Lets see under that hood.

  • @Nettikturbo See my car domain page, it has pictures. My id is turbokinetic

  • I didn't know buicks came with 2.8 V6. Are these the same as the chevy?

  • @Naturalhit Yes, it's the same engine. It is the Chevy-built 60°V6 engine.
