When you buy a cd, the actual artist gets a few pennies. Thats it. Corporate criminals get the rest of the money...so NEVER pay for music.
If you want to support the artist then buy a ticket to their next show and support THEM...not the RIAA.

@DJBrokenHigh I'm with you. Downloading it for free is wrong. If you pay for a legit copy, then I think you have a right to do whatever you want with it. But for personal usage only.

If I invent something, get a patent for it, which means it has been determined to be new and useful, I only get 10 years to claim ownership. After that it's free for all to copy and use. Regardless of whether it's outdated or not. RIAA, however, gets to keep copyrights indefinitely even for crap like Jay-z, Britney Spears etc.

Look theres another way.. Actually theres a new format about to emerge, one that will change music forever, the (3i) format. which I am not at liberty to discuss. But I tell you this, your going to see a change, The 6 companies who are creating this are keeping it under wraps to avoid and aquisition, the way that it works is sick! All the artist will basically force the industry to do it because its what they want, youll see
