Joe is more controlled these days - Was a different story 10 years ago though. There's plenty of early JB stuff around to check, but he made a conscious decsion to slow down from the million mph stuff and be more selective. Checkout the jams with Walter Trout !

Amazing...

Joe speaks with a different voice, I love him as well. But he's a much more controlled player. Philip has this outrageous output on stage that I sometimes miss with Bonamassa. He tends to play nearly exactly the same as on the records live. Record-wise, I must say that I prefer Joe though. Philips output isn't that great on record. But as I said - its not fair to compare musicians, its about personal taste.

@KayserStaffay he wouldn't have blown Joe Bonamassa off. He is the king of modern day blues

@KayserStaffay Yeah, this is definitely Sayce's forte. I'm not saying Collen is crap. Just on this occasion Sayce blew him away. He is indeed a blues monster. We were luck enough to support him in Sheffield and he was epic. A nice guy too!!

Its not fair to compare players, everybody has their own way to speak. Philip Sayce is a blues-MONSTER, he would have played anyone off the stage, when it comes to blues...... Phil aint playin bad either, but this is Sayces arena.

Floyd-Rose'n the blues baby. Nothing finer. Not...

collen isn't really that great at sharing the stage... he's coming off like an ass hole lol

Excellent! Nice to see Phill Collen out of his comfort zone and do something different. His endless smile throughout the song looked like he was almost apologetic for playing the blues or that he was sharing the stage with a true blues technician. But whatever it is that caused him to blush he sure proved his worth. I am sure that, like most guitarists, Collen has been playing the blues with his guitar. Thanks that was refreshing.
Wow. Phil Collen just got smoked!!!!

I think Phil did great man. Excellent actually as he really took the blues and made it his own.
Everyone has their own style and Phil did a great job at improvising.
