We had some ups and downs in this test. We have a long way to go, but I'm very pleased how we're doing. In time, our trot lengthenings will improve... but, we're focusing on suppling him, encouraging him to relax his neck and back, to seek/maintain contact, and to think "forward" with good, active energy.

We picked up the wrong lead at "A" and it was completely my fault... I didn't prepare enough and let his haunches drift out before the transition. One of my "duh" moments. I also didn't get him back in time to only lose points on one movement. I finally got him on the correct (right) lead after we had already begun our 15m circle at "E"... a mistake I hope to never make again, but a learning lesson. They say "it's different at the shows than at home." I couldn't get much stretch out of him for our 20m 'stretchy' circle at the end of the test either. We still managed to score several 7's and even an 8! on our test and earned a qualifying score for the championships, though. :) I'm very proud of my boy... especially considering how hot it was that day and he tired out quickly... but, overall, another great experience.
