  • @eddy12342 handguns and fully automatic fire arms 21 anything besides those 2 are 18

  • @vyxaer true, true! Either way I just free float it. Insurance if you will.

  • i thought the free floating was due more to harmonics of the barrel more than the reasons you gave you know the floppiness in slow mo vids

  • @juki009 I have an AR15 with a heavy barrel profile and free float handguards. It also keeps my IR laser in alignment better because you aren't transferring direct vibration from the barrel.

  • @1776PatriotTeen Yes, granted that free floating will make a improvement in precision, when will it make a significant difference? If say I wanted to engage targets up to 300m and my expected level of precision would be around 3-4 MOA, would it be practical to go free float or maybe just get a heavier barrel?

  • @1776PatriotTeen You'd be holding it the same way as when you shoot otherwise, so you'd be consistent. And consistency is what it's all about.

  • great explanation! glad I watched and subscribed

  • @juki009 If you're talking free floating, then yes it is really the absolute way to go for precision.
