Ya But Michigans coach was screamin' at the ref 2 put 5 seconds back on the clock and he DID!! :O I was at my grandparents house and my dad was screamin' 2.

Yes, Texas was better than Michigan, but this Michigan team was better than their 7-4 record showed. They almost beat Ohio State and were never blown out. I don't think USC or Texas was better than Penn State, at least their equal. Remember that Michigan Stadium is usually one of the toughest places to come away with a win, mainly because of bad calls.
Yes, PSU did struggle against FSU, but only because of a late fumble while attempting to put the game away, and two key injuries.

No but you can't discount how much better Texas was than Michigan that season. 2005 Texas was one of the best teams I have ever seen and Vince Young was untouchable. I think Penn State was as good as U$C that year, but they got the rankings right.
U$C didn't lose until their bowl game. PSU lost in the regular season and struggled against an average Florida State team in the Orange Bowl.

But late season losses can't be recovered from like earlier losses can. I think PSU should have been #2 at the year's end, USC at #3. Texas at #1 and OSU still at #4.

I think at the end we should have been ranked ahead of USC. Our single loss was by 2 points, while USC's was by 3.
