There is no such this as a Jewish State, or a Islamic or a Christian one for the matter. States are civil in essence, whose objective is to protect all its citizens regardless of their race, ethnicity or confession.

And ultimately, later analysis tends to show Israel was in the right. or Hadn't done the wrongs it is accused of. e.g. as I said, civilian to combatant ratios(gaza, lebanon) compared to NATO or compared to any other army. Goldstone recanting and analysis that Israel's figures were correct for casualties. Jenin(2002), where accusations were a massacre took place(with a boom in anti-semitism throughout the world), and later, a report that there was no massacre.

in the Gaza case, despite the inflated casualty figures from the human rights organizations, Hamas admitted its casualties were higher, and actually corresponded with what the IDF said its casualties were. And that wasn't because Arabs decided to be honest, but because one of the ones Fati the hamas interior minister moaned about the amount of casualties hamas had! The human rights organizations had just parotted lies, and were discredited.

And we have the so-called massacre in Jenin.. Which actually the zone involved was a refugee camp which was a very small part of Jenin, and involved about 50 dead, about half were militants which is about the same as the number 20 or so, israeli soldiers that were killed in that. So, these when the reports come in with numbers.. we see Israel behaved fine. And arabs lied and inflated things, and even human rights organizations lie and inflate and rely on lies from arabs.

@lazofff And people saw the Goldstone report and ran with it, and it was seen as some concrete thing. When in reality it was just a bunch of allegations from lying arabs. Not strong enough to pass in any court. And later, when Goldstone was better informed, he recanted, said Israel hadn't infact targetted civilians. And now we have reports, with figures, showing civilian to combatant ratios, so Israel is infact more careful even than NATO, an International force in this assymetric warfare.

@boliusb You´ve seen pictures and I´ve seen the UN reports on Gaza, Human Rights Watch reports on Gaza and Int. Amnesty reports on Gaza and they all conclude that the ultimate fault is the israeli policy of blockade Gaza and constantly destroy their infrastructure which leads to undermine the economy of Gaza. They spend money on homemade rockets!!!, well that´s expensive. The fact is, whether you liked or not, that Gaza is the new Varsovian ghetto of the XXI century.

@lazofff In Gaza, the Palestinians are in rotten shape, but under Hamas, and one of the most densely populated places on earth. You could blame Hamas that run the place, you could blame the fact that they're having too many children. Spending money on rockets to fire when they could be feeding themselves more. Though they do have an Olympic size swimming pool and a nice shopping mall, remember. And hotels. I've seen the pictures. There are inequalities in their society.
