The Go-Betweens were founded by Robert Forster and Grant McLennan. In a career spanning almost thirty years, their work with The Go-Betweens (197789, and resuming 200006) is complemented by several solo releases and side-project collaborations with other performers.
Robert recently released a new solo album, "The Evangelist" in 2008. He will be performing in Jan 2009 in Nick Cave's All Tomorrow's Parties music festival.
This live recording of The Go-Betweens of "The House That Jack Kerouac Built", highlighting Robert Forster musical chops, starting with "When I Was A Rich Man" he goes into one the Gobies great catchy pop songs. This is from the ABC music program Rock Arena, recorded in back in the pre-DVD days of 1987.
