This video was produced at the end of a 2-year project with long-standing French twin town, Saint-Nazaire and was funded by the European Commission's Comenius Regio programme. It was a project led by Sunderland City Council in partnership with Groundwork North East, Castletown Primary School, St Aidan's School and Language College and St Paul's Primacy School and saw cooperation with three schools in Saint-Nazaire as well as additional partners, their Municipal Youth Office (OMJ) and three French schools. The project was on the topic of Education for Sustainable Development with a particular focus on travel and transport. All the school partnerships continue to this day and Castletown Primary is now hosting one of their French teachers for the whole academic year, following the success of Eco-TWINS.
