@jezuzfreek777 I feel that in your opinion because you celebrate the religious part of Christmas you feel that Christmas is about that. Your right that Christmas was first celebrated for that aspect but in more recent times has become more about presents and the spirit of giving. If you don't believe in religion your left with the spirit of giving and yada yada yada. So I'm pretty sure that's why and how atheists would celebrate Christmas.

you don't kinow much about the history of Christianity.The Puritans aka the first colonists,FORBID the celebration of Christmas....because December 25th is not mentioned in the Bible.The Birth of Christ is mentioned but no-date.And also Christmas trees pre-date Christianity but i have no problem with Christians using December 25th to celebrate..but that was the Roman Saturnalia(mid winter's Solstice)..so MerryChristmas but it isn't your-day. You borrowed it.Ignorance is not bliss its ignorance.
