  • He probably comes off arrogant having to survive in the music world of the 70s-80s. I often wonder how Zappa would function from the 90s now seeing how making quality music of any sort will have you banished to obscurity forever and blackballed from mainstream media. The average music consumer today would in my opinion make a fine food or fuel (burning) source. I agree with everything he says, especially his world view, and I like his music, so therefore I like Zappa! Good post!

  • Frank doesn't occur as arrogant. He is focused, determined and won't suffer idiots. The world is filled with shallow, thoughtless idiots though. One way to deal with them is to disregard them. But Frank is a Dadaist. As such, his work is drawn from the mundane everyday objects, habits, interests and personages that fuel these idiots; the phoney hipsters. The joke is on them and any of us who fall off the awareness wagon.

  • I think he was in a bad mood here because the life on tour was getting on his nerves. He couldn't sleep, listen to music, or be with his wife and kids while on tour.

I've seen various inteviews with Frank, and in most of them, he is a really funny, rational and intelligent guy who respects the interviewer even though he/she might be an idiot.

  • Is that Zappa at 4:50

  • A true genius

  • Thank You for uploading all this euro footy!

  • Zoot Allures is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. Amazing chords/keys used in that song.

  • Frank Zappa .. I love you !! I miss you!!.

  • Actually....I think 7:22 is a live intro to Bobby Brown.

  • 7:22 is The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing off of You Are What You is
