Here we are on the final part home from CA to WA state. We are flying a 1938 Piper J3C-50 Sport Cub. This cub was restored by the "Cub Dr." Clyde Smith Jr. It has a Continental A50 50hp up exhaust engine on it, the same one that it left the factory with! The Sport Cubs were available with several options in 38, wheel pants, bungee fairings, brown interior ect. There are also quite a few differences between this early Pre-war cub and later Post-war cubs, like the three piece windshield, J2 cub wings with barn door ailerons, three hinge tail surfaces, push/pull mag switches, ect.
