Marlene Mizzi twieldet ir-Rabat, Malta. Hi bint John Cacciottolo u Josephine Micallef. Marlene hi miżżewġa lil Maġistrat Antonio Mizzi u flimkien għandhom tifla, Alexandra, li hi wkoll avukat.

Hi ggradwat fl-ekonomija fl-1976, u wara baqgħet tispejċalizza b'master degree fl-Universita ta' Maastricht. Illum qiegħdha tkompli l-istudji tagħha u qed tistudja għal-dottorat fil-Corporate Governanace.

Marlene Mizzi għandha esperjenza vasta f'diversi oqsma, fosthom il-manifattura, retail, insurance u anke f'dak bankarju.

Marlene Mizzi kienet ġiet appuntata fil-Board tad-Diretturi tas-Sea Malta Company Ltd f'Jannar 1997, u wara ġiet maħtura bħala Chairman f'April 1997. Hi okkupat din il-posizzjoni għal 9 snin. Fl-1998, hi wkoll kienet eletta fuq il-Board tad-Diretturi tal-Bank of Valletta. Hi kienet membru fi ħdan il-Kumitat tal-Awditjar, u fil-Kumitat ta' Remunirazzjoni tal-istess Bank.

Marlene Mizzi was born in Rabat, Malta. She is the daughter of John Cacciottolo and Josephine Micallef. She is married to Magistrate Antonio Mizzi. They have one daughter, Alexandra, who is also a lawyer.

She graduated with an honors degree in Economics in 1976. She continued her studies at the Maastricht School of Management, where she read for a Masters degree M.Phil. She is continuing her studies and is presently reading for a doctoral degree, Ph.D. Her field of specialisation is Corporate Governance.

She has a wide ranging working experience in manufacturing, retail, insurance, and banking.

Marlene Mizzi was appointed to the Board of Directors of Sea Malta Company Ltd. in January 1997 and later as its Chairman in April 1997. She occupied the Chairmanship for 9 years. In 1998 she was elected to the Board of Directors of the Bank of Valletta. She was also a member of the Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee of the said Bank.
