They both sound excellent - I'm surprised the Sovtek one sounds as good as it does. I have a Small Stone from 1979, so the one after the US version you have here. It sounds excellent too. Definitely better than the re-issues!

I have 3 of them: USA V2, USA V3 and Sovtek V1.
They're all phase shifters but with their own little differences.
