"We basically have found what appears to be the fundamental requirements for nutrients to support life", says the Phoenix Mars Lander wet chemistry lab lead. This is very good news.

  • ok.... even if Mars has "soil" that could possibly produce life.... YOU HAVE TO HAVE OXYGEN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Phoenix is testing only the minerals in the soil and has no equipment for testing for organic life. Anyway like I said, water is life unto itself!

  • Martian oceans, intuition tells me, were much like those of Earth: pH close to 8.3 (i.e., between 8 & 9, same as the soil).

  • Excellent video, friend!

  • This is great news. As our population grows this gives us a place to grow to. Terra-forming Mars is a reasonable goal, and the challenge and adventure of subduing Mars is amazing to imagine. Thanks for the information and the video.

  • Thank-You, you have made a very good point and you are right! I feel the same way. May God be with you!
