Film Description: Contemporary high schooler Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) doesn't have the most pleasant of lives. Browbeaten by his principal at school, Marty must also endure the acrimonious relationship between his nerdy father (Crispin Glover) and his lovely mother (Lea Thompson), who in turn suffer the bullying of middle-aged jerk Biff (Thomas F. Wilson), Marty's dad's supervisor. The one balm in Marty's life is his friendship with eccentric scientist Doc (Christopher Lloyd), who at present is working on a time machine. Accidentally zapped back into the 1950s, Marty inadvertently interferes with the budding romance of his now-teenaged parents. Our hero must now reunite his parents-to-be, lest he cease to exist in the 1980s. It won't be easy, especially with the loutish Biff, now also a teenager, complicating matters. Beyond its dazzling special effects, the best element of Back to the Future is the performance of Michael J. Fox, who finds himself in the quagmire of surviving the white-bread 1950s with a hip 1980s mindset. Back to the Future cemented the box-office bankability of both Fox and the film's director, Robert Zemeckis, who went on to helm two equally exhilarating sequels.

  • Bluray sound =)

  • When this movie was made they used the original 130hp engine in the Delorean. The "time machine" add ons added 700pounds of extra weight to the car. The Delorean isn't a fast car to begin with, but would've been faster without the time travel add ons. There are performance upgrades available for the Delorean now, including a supercharger kit. I have driven 3 Deloreans and they are a blast to drive!

  • what does it say on the key ring thing on 0:20

  • 1 bastard couldn't do 90.

  • 1.17 O when that glorious theme kicks in!

  • Did anyone notice the mileage on the Deloreans cluster at 1:04 compared to the one at 1:09 first one reads 33061 second one reads 32994 interesting??

  • Anyone know the sneakers at 0:26??

  • either that van is really fast to keep up or marty drives like a pussy

  • I wonder if the writers were being intentionally ironic with the terrorists' lines, given that the AK-47 is famous for it's reliability (it's simple design has as few moving parts as possible so there's less things that can go wrong) and German engineering is highly respected.

  • @twistedyogert Badguys are ALWAYS bad shots! Have you ever seen a Star Wars movie?
