Roy is such a beautiful person. He has these strengths and vulnerabilities that make him so wonderful because he is just himself. Here his shy side shows. It's so attractive for actors to be so real.

One of my favorite acceptance speeches ever b/c he is so sweet and genuine & obviously uncomfortable in this setting. So different from the typical Hollywood narcisists who live for these moments of awards and attention. Roy is a true artiste - it is all about his craft and a pure love of perfecting it. My favorite actor on the planet...

He comes across as incredibly shy - I can imagine, if he is, that this sort of thing is a torture. He seems a very nice bloke though. Thanks for posting.

He's come a long way!! Although he's very shy, he managed to get familiar with his public image and now he can talk publicly with more ease than some years ago.
