  • This Kata is practiced in the Chi-Too-Ryu branch of the Kyokushinkai in Germany.

  • Thanks Alberto :)

  • Thanks from my side also. We have been talking about this in our correspndence already, but maybe I should post here also that this Kyokushinkai branch is in Austria and the guy showing that lousy Happoren on their website is myself (15 years ago);)

  • Yep I have some old vids up of me performing kata that are about 12 to 15 years old, it's great though.

    :)

  • this isnt white crane. its more like uechi ryu

  • It all comes from the Fujian province of Southern China

  • cool

  • It is certain, this Kata is practiced in the school Shukokai Shito-ryu with the Happoren name, but in other schools of Shito-ryu the Kata is very different

  • You will need to ask Alberto Cruz send him at message at his profile 'uchinadi' :)

  • Dont know if you still checking the replies here, but may I ask in which branch of kyokushinkai they are using this form?

In Shito Ryu we were doing a version that was quite close to this one under the name Happoren.
