It's an emerald theme. I too would like to know what one. But it can be used on any DE that is running compiz. Be it gnome, kde, or whatever.

I've had a setup like this in ubuntu and gnome before with compiz. I'm running gentoo and kde on one of my machines, but am not sure how to configure a setup similar to whats on your video demo. How in the world did you do that with gentoo and kde? Do you have a tutorial on how to do that? If not, are there any links you could suggest? It looks like your using compiz, right?

I used on this video a beryl setup. Beryl has been merged into compiz-fusion which i use now.
There are lots of wikis related to gentoo. also for compiz fusion. just search for gentoo wiki compiz-fusion.

Gentoo comes with a plethora of utilities which make customization of the operating system much easier. The entire operating system is fitted to your needs, and much like a suit, it will perform better because of it. Gentoo is built ground-up by user preferences. Many system files have shorthand commands to access and/or update them. It also has a BSD-style port system.

In the right hands it can be MUCH faster and better than ubuntu.

In the wrong hands it will crash and burn, very easily.
