An Eye on... Halo 3 : ODST (XBox 360) - Review

I pre-ordered this game last week (what I usually don`t do) and have it since last
saturday. Today, on the official release date, I´ll give you my opinion on it.
Is it still a great Halo game without the master chief and cortana?

But joke aside, I tried not to show too much material to spoil the entire plot here.

I played a copy at a friends house. What really surprised me about it is unlike the rather schizophrenic Halo 2 and 3 - the game was solid, consistent, and to the point. And while it was only 6 hours long, it didn't have the dragging "Come on, get on with it!" feeling that was felt with the other 3.

But my favorite thing about this title is... no backtracking... FINALLY!

Yeah, that`s also one of the differences here.

Another good thing: we get the original halo magnum (with the zoom-in function)!

I don`t know, why Bungie left that feature out in Halo 3. That weapon was one of the best!

There are also some boring levels inside certain buildings like in the previous games (it seems, that Bungie can`t get rid of that at all), but those are luckily not that long.
