This week I chose two photos of the the week, both from a recent wedding Greg and I photographed. These images are very similar in nature as they were captured within seconds of each other.

This highlights the importance of having two photographers capture a weddings. Each photographer brings a unique style to the wedding day and that leads to more and better quality images.

Take a look at the video below to hear more about these images as well as how they were edited.

  • Jared are you flash off? Straight on? Off the sealing? Do you have "light minions" holding reflectors? As far as the people ragging on you about the composition of the shot...they must not know its all about how you use it! Rock on!... I should V-blog about interesting moments and images in my shoots. I feel inspired once again.

  • @Mindtraveler3 Neither of the images had any flash, just window light coming from outside.

  • Thanks Jared I'll check that lens out, can u please clarify about what u meant saying for that price is hard, u mean to get the the 35mm 1.8 for $200 is hard to find or that it's hard to use for what I want and quality wise not good?? Saw alot of reviews for that lense and got good findings and also ur own video for the unboxing u said it's an awesome lens and a must have in your arsenal.. Thanks

  • @BIGE2333 I thought you meant you had 200 to spend on a longer piece. Thats a great lens for the money the 35 1.8

  • What would you say is the best way to get an introduction to wedding photography? I am working to find my niche area and I have sampled a lot of styles. But naturally someone having a wedding will not want a photographer to come along to shoot their special day with zero experience. I am lucky that I can shoot my own family's wedding next year, but short of that, how would one get into such an area of photography? Do photography assistance, etc? Cheers.

  • @SillyEddyPhotography Best bet is to work as an assistant for someone or start shooting friends events and that will build your book and experience.
