@snowm0bile Either way, it's an American commercial. It's common in the states to truncate the name of a city to eliminate the word "city" from it. Hence, you can send things to "NY, NY" (New York, New York) instead of "New York City, New York". So, the old man simply explained to an American kid in the manner with which us Americans are familiar.
