http://www.dolphinstreet.com The Cool Cat Vibe is louder and it takes a few seconds for the effect to start after engaging the pedals. Both are made by Danelectro.
The CV-1 takes a second to start phasing b/c its internal lamp turns off when the pedal is off. Once you press the true bypass switch, the internal lamp starts to flash. This saves batteries, but delays the effect. The Chicken Salad's internal lamp is always on. This allows the effect to start quicker, but will use a 9v battery in 5 minutes of use. There are lots of mods for both pedals, but I think both are fine as is, with the CV-1 the clear winner both tonally and in terms of build quality.
