I have my Qwest Modem [bottom right] to my Dlink DGL-4300 Router, Havabox, Slingbox, Dlink DIR-655 [set to Access Point only Wireless N], Buffalo NAS [500GB] & Buffalo FlexNet NAS [640GB], WHS MSS EX475 [4TB], Dlink DPR-1260 Print Server - Dell 50 Port Switch.
Not-shown is my Trendnet NAS Samba Server and my HP ZE4560US Laptop that runs my Skype phone system and the UPS - CyberPower CP850AVRLCD Uninterrupted Power Supply that everything is plugged into in-case of brown outs or black outs. All my smaller switches and backbone are Gigabit speeds.

    Yeah a big earthquake would suck for sure, however I do have everything secured enough and I have tested it.. it's not moving anywhere. At least you pointed out the obvious.

  • @xXHACKERx360Xx Dude- if you bought a router and wanna put it in AP Mode, then turn off DHCP and give it a static internal IP other than .1. You can still set up SSID on it and encryption, though if its wired and not bridged the encryption can be different. You can also do MAC Address Filtering though this may need to match your routers MAC Address Filter list as well.
