CONFESSION: I absolutely could not focus on the Mopho once my eyes focused on the Roland Jupiter 6 AND Korg Mono/Poly casually leaning on the wall in he background lolol
-
@sonicstate Okay, then the display is misleading, because it only shows 128 steps.
Sorry for using strong words.

@mettez Just by curiosity.. why do you wonder how much energy it uses?

Is this good for a rock band player who mostly plays accoustic/synth piano?

hi mate,
i wonder if you can help me before i spend any more money as i am very interested in purchasing one of these. i have a korg emx as a master - xoxbox slave - kp3 all midi clocked and would like to introduce a nice keyboard for making my own personal patterns /loops.
can i load my own one shot samples or loops into this machine before purchasing and if i can how long in length can they be the emx wont do it and the kp3 is roughly 7 seconds depending on bpm.cheers gary.
any info apprec.

what do you need to play this?
Does the mopho keyboard offer any performance advantage over a comparable MIDI controller + mopho tabletop combination? Are there controls not mappable by MIDI? When you adjust parameters in real time e.g. filter cutoff is it "smoother" with this configuration? Thanks!!

@forthazel Well they are dedicated to the Mopho whereas a MIDI controller would not have the same layout, some pots have higher resolution due to them being Rotary encoders

@sonicstate "some pots have higher resolution due to them being rotary encoders" that's an unfounded and stupid thing to say. and it's wrong, too. they are not higher resolved.

@meninrevolt `well you are actually wrong there as with Rotary encoders, you can have a higher resolution - eg more rotations than with a fixed pot. For instance, most MIDI values are 128, whereas some can be 10bit - 1024 steps which would mean that a rotary encoder would be ideal for as you can just keep turning until the maximum value is reached. Or perhaps BPM which would by nature have more than 128 steps.
