@Clay7744 That statement is also an opinion, much like my own. What IS a fact is that Jaco changed the way musicians play bass in general. He was, in a sense, the electric bass equivalent of Jimi Hendrix for his time.

@movie2309 Not many who can play this well. There's Flea, Sting, Steve Clarke, and the like, but they still can't compare to Jaco in my opinion.

December 1st would have been Jaco's 56th birthday. His compositions live on and his influence is in every single electric bassist alive today. How many of those bassists can ARRANGE like Jaco though? yeah JP WAS the greatest.
