Matt, a young glaciologist, soars across the vast, silent, icebound immensities of the South Pole as he recalls his love affair with Lisa. They meet at a mobbed rock concert in a vast music hall— London's Brixton Academy. They are in bed at night's end. Together, over a period of several months, they pursue a mutual sexual passion whose inevitable stages (familiar to anyone who's ever been in love) unfold in counterpoint to the nine live-concert songs of the story's title.

It's like she fucks a wooden door - the guy's such a bad actor. Anyway, she's in serious need of a big Italian calzone, she's so thin. And the plot of the movie is - they screw, cut to rock band - they screw, cut to rock band - they screw, cut to rock band. Nerve website listed this as the 16th worst sex scene in cinema history and I can't argue with that. Except to say, it's unsimulated. Should have been called, "Lisa bangs a piece of lumber".

@youroldaesthetic But presumably it did have a rating on the label? An 18 rating? And therefore if you are going to watch it with someone whom you see as a minor, why then complain about that minor seeing sex scenes in the movie?

To all Michael Nyman fans: You MUST watch the video of "Let There Be Light "... it's a song by MICHAEL NYMAN with rock noir band BELLADONNA and it's based on his music from "The Piano". Nyman himself plays piano on it... search for "nyman belladonna" here on youtube and you'll find it!! :-)
