Runescape Slayer Guide - TzHaar

This is my guide which shows how to effectively finish your TzHaar task.

NOTE: This is NOT a Fire Cape/Fight Caves guide.

TzHaar can be killed in the TzHaar city on Karamja. The easiest way to get to the city is to use the Glory Amulet teleport to Karamja.

There is a bank right near the TzHaar monsters, so if you need more food you can quickly bank with no worries. For this reason, Prayer and Healing familiars aren't really needed as you can just get some low-level food instead.

I'll be killing TzHaar-Ket and TzHaar-Xil. These 2 monsters are level 149 and level 133. The other TzHaar monsters that can be killed are the level 103 TzHaar-Mej and the level 74 TzHaar-Hur, though they don't drop as well.

There are several places to safespot behind rocks and such in the area, especially against the TzHaar-Ket. Safespotting TzHaar-Xil is more risky as some of these use the ranged obsidian weapon which can hit you if you try to safespot.

I got the task for 280 of them, i went around killing the level 149s and 133s, and i still have 280 kill count? Do i have to kill jad now that i chose the 280?

@KSickBye This is not the same task. Your task is to kill volcanic creatures, which is the Fight Caves. This is why your kill count isn't changing.

What do you get if you do the slayer challenge to kill 280 tzhaars and jad?

@Jolle378 You get all the experience for killing those monsters, which is much more than a regular tzhaar task, as well as 25k bonus xp if you kill jad and the fire cape of course.

well, im not sure, but, which tzhaar do drop the best things?

i mean, counted on 100 tzhaar, where will i make the most money?

@xxoreficul Probably the TzHaar-Ket have the best drops as they can drop the maul which is worth more than the splitsword, dagger and thrown rings that the TzHaar-Xil drops.

id recommend full guthan for tzhaar because the area is soo remote the guthans can make you last just that tad bit longer

What about the Onyx bolt tips? Those were the main source of money from them when I was killing them.
