I am now 54. I met Anita Bryant at a Lewis Grocery picnic that she was performing at when I was maybe 10 years old, it was around October or close to the orange harvest, not really sure. Until it got lost somewhere over time I had a signed album from her along with a signed picture of her and myself. Back then politics did not play a big roll in everyday life to us normal folks, she was just looked at as a great performer giving a great show.

@MJHxoxo She has a right to like or dislike, whatever she chooses, as do you. I don't remember her persecuting anyone, she expressed her opinion when asked. She never claimed to be a politician, she claimed to be a singer, and THAT she did well, and I miss it.
LIke Anita, I grew up when being queer was a felony, and being gay meant you were happy. I have accepted that it's no longer illegal, but it's not my cup of tea either. I won't rain on your parade; I'm a live and let live guy.
