Since 2003 simple, declarative writing and production is has been my muse.

How much it's inspired me, I suppose, is your judgment.

Samples from 2008-2011 underscore a varied writing discipline from my previous experience as a news feature writer and reporter (2003-2008: City Beat, Cincinnati Post, and Washington Examiner).

"It's not like the paper (where) you're writing for the eye," Cincinnati veteran newsman Courtis Fuller said to me a few years ago. "This is written for the ear." He motioned toward one of his.

They didn't teach me that in poli-sci at the University of Cincinnati. Nor did anyone seem to be able to figure out in print news, as ink towers crumbed increasingly. All news outlets were now clamoring for attention from the same audience.

This reel includes television commercial writing and production, company profiles for the web, excerpts from the forthcoming UC Health "Welcome" video and the 2008 weekly young-professional beat for WLWT.com that was consistently ranked a top 5 draw for the week on the news website.

A reader can always review a sentence laying before them in prin. But i this medium the thought has to be crystal clear immediately. And it better stick.
