@MrRyukage It's about her friend who died from a drug overdose, so perhaps she's saying how in the first chorus, there's no way you could die of an overdose, and then in the second one, she realised that you could, because it happened to a friend, and she didn't know how she could have been so wrong, maybe? I'm not really sure, but that's just my interpretation. Hope that helped?

To say period after something is to end a subject or topic by emphasizing that the argument is over, much like in text or writing, a period shows that the sentence is over. However, putting toffee at the end of a sentence shows nothing to do with closing a discussion or relating to the prior point, unless the subject involves toffee and/or sweets. Lastly, what does toffee have to do with the song? ;) That is all.
