how I record my gaming videos

I had a couple people ask about how I record my gaming vids so heres how I do it.

you will need a camcorder with a VCR setting that records.
a tv with video out ports
camcorder AV cable (mines is a 3.5mm JACK M TO 3 RCA)
and to upload you need a firewire or USB cable.

Take your AV cables and plug them into the video out on your TV.
Plug the other end into your camcorder.
Put you camcorder on the VCR setting, now whatevers playing on your TV will be shown on your camcorders viewfinder/LCD.
Simply press record on your camcorder when your ready to start the action.
When your done press stop.
Now you can take your raw footage and upload it to whatever editing program your using.
To upload take the firewire and plug it into your PC and camcorder.
Set your camcorder on the VCR setting again.
Now just start up your editing program and import/capture your footage.

I have a question my camcorder only has a playback button and a record button and when i put it on play back and go on the channel it plays off the camcorder like what i have recorded and when i switch to record it shows on the t.v what i see in the camcorder so have you got an older moddle becaus it might not record because people might record movies and sell them is that maby why it does not wok because of copyright reasons . or is it just because that camcorder hasnt got that feature .

@longfieldlad you NEED the VCR setting anything else will NOT work.

playback=shows what you recorded

record=enables you to record whats seen through viewfinder

VCR=watching/recording whats on your tv through your camcorder (basically it makes your camcorder a mini VCR)

does your cam corder say it records hd because your quality is good and mine is not HD

@longfieldlad no its a standard def camera just got to use the right stuff. dont use junk cables and when uploading to your PC only upload

@longfieldlad dont listen to him if u have the remot to your camcorder press input on it and on the cacorder it should say av in press that and there u have it. if u dont have it idk what to do ill ask my brother ill message u in your channel hopefully it worked for u man
