@ledafox66 Cool what a fantastic thing for you to take part in. I'm sure as an actress it was probably just a job but what a brilliant one to do. Seems Australia were way ahead of everyone when it came to educating about AIDs - I'm from England and we had some scary ads back in the day but these Australian ones are way way better. Hope your sons are proud of you, love x

It's hard to believe how great Australia reacted to the early AIDS crisis compared to the way that America reacted. We still don't see commercials dealing with condoms and AIDS in 2008 let alone 1986. Kudos to Australians for not being afraid to talk about it and thus saving thousands of lives we've lost here in the states.

Petey, do a search for 'AIDS prevention (Australian ad) 1987' on youtube. It's an Australian ad that became very popular and a little controversial at the time.
It's probably one of the best ads to have addressed the issue at the time.
