@bakuoh Igor is a russian version of the swedish name 'Ingvar', a name brought to todays russia by swedish vikings/varangians, namely the Rus.

@migselv16896 excuse me but can you please tell me if Igor is a nordic name. a person told me it was russian, but all the books and the net tells me that it comes from the ancent nords and vikings. please help!

@bakuoh I think Igor is the russian version of the norweigan name Ívarr, which is an assembled word for bow and warrior =)
