I really don't get why you would fail the event just because Roger shows up when you have 7/8 pieces.

First of all, 7/8 should be enough to find whatever treasure the map leads to (if it happens to be the piece that shows you the end of the trail, then you know what general area to look in).

Second, we could either run or kick his caveman ass when he tries to take the pieces from us.
