@surf1punk hey mate do you know what the stock air filter looks like for these cars? And whether the stock exhaust has 3" tips on it or not?
-
best z nissan ever made, its a shame they dont make them anymore D:

@surf1punk Have you considered running methanol injection? You could run the 20psi all day if you get a good set up. Not sure if you heard of him, but theres a guy on here, Big Phil(turbo280z) that has a 280Z with a 280ZX turbo engine that was pushing like 390hp or somethin on stock internals on 25psi with 100% meth injection. Just a though if you haven't considered it yet, I know this vid is pretty old....

20 psi on stock internals? Holy Monkeys!

Get rid of the old nasty stock exhaust. It is restricting and weighs a lot. You can get a custom exhaust at an exhaust shop for pretty cheap. Test pipes also help a lot and they are under $200.

I need to tune my 1990 300zx it's N/A any tips on giving me a little more power that don't cost a lot of money. dont bother telling me put the turbos on it I have them plans just no money, I'm thinking more ling throttle body spacers, that they cant have or I just can not find. Any thing that I can try and fine tune (im new to the car) Please help

What exhaust is that? Sounds amazing!

Random but, did you do an engine swap? Well, how many miles do you have on the engine? I was gonna buy a Nissan 300zx with 165k miles, but didn't buy it b/c it has too many miles on it to race.
Did you have detonation at 18psi with 93 gas? With 110 you should have been able to run 24+psi :D

No detonation. I have a real good tune on it. We pushed up to 19~ psi on pump. and got 22psi on race, but can't go much higher than that, all the internals are stock on the engine.

Do these cars come TT or T?

90-96 had the TT option, no single turbos were made in those years. the 80's 300zx had the single turbo.

what kind of tires are you running in the back? loosing traction quite a bit. ill be upgrading to 285/35/18 after i chew off old 255/35s

In the video they were Pirelli Pzero Nero 275's, I know have Sumitomo HTR Z III. I think I like the sumi's better, especially since they are $40 cheaper a tire.
