After the 2008 NHL Playoffs More Arguments were against the Shootout especially in the Playoffs.
No Ties? No Problem.
Just have the continuous NBA and College Football Overtime Format in the NHL Regular Season Games.
Overtime in Team Sports is exactly that:extra playing time to determine a winner,not an oppurtunity to change the rules.
In Baseball,they play extra innings to award a victory, not a home run derby.

In Basketball,it's the same thing. The teams play until the team that ends up with the lead in points at the end of Extra time wins,not a slam dunk competition.
In College Football the rules are the same,not a field goal kicking contest.
Hockey,being a Team Sport should be no different.

Being a Canadian,and also I never liked Shootouts in Team Sports such as Soccer and the Olympics.
It is the Most Unfair way to decide a Champion Winner in Team Sports.
