you know, for the longest time, when i tried to remember this, i always got the sense it was a dream, along with all the other sesame street cartoons like this. now i know :)

About the knocking hand-the door he was knocking on must have opened and let him in, LOL. That's why he wasn't part of the grand finale. And if this was ever updated they would have a computer instead of a typewriter. Nobody uses typewriters anymore. And that penguin must have had a great sense of hearing if he's up in the north pole and those sounds were probably coming from the nearest town which would be MILES away! I guess anything's possible on Sesame Street, LOL.

I remember laughing my head off when the penguin danced to the chorus! Still fun to watch today!
