  • The black is not necessary dirt - it is actually pulverized metal. Almost all metal nano particles are black

  • While Simichrome is good polish that has been around for years it is fairly fast cutting polish so be careful when using it otherwise you may actual be damaging your watch finish more. I would recommend that if you are going to use a polish try Flitz metal polish first. It should also be known that many watches have a clear coat on them (like your cars paint) and it can be damaged by abrasive pads and Polish. Also brushed finishes in SS are machine made scratches So think before you do it
